Correct me if i misunderstood your question. I think you want to know whether the usage data will improve the graph performance. I think definitely the usage of data will definitely improve the graph perfomance. If you data set in lookup is minimal and only the required data is kept , it will definitely improve the performance.
if you lookup contains all the unnecessary data then it will degrade the performance.
