Hi
This is purely depends up on level of the company and depends on customer expectation.
If company is a cmmi level 5 then they charge for a lot to the custemer if he needs level 5 quality, or else custemer can go other least models.
If company is a small then they will or will not follow the models, but as the real most of the companies doesnt follow the models proerply.
