We have two buckets, 1 of capacity 3liter and another of 5 liter.we have 5 liters of water.so how will we make combinations such that 1 bucket will have exactly 4 liters of water?

Two women were selling marbles int the market place -- 1 at 3 for a paise and other at 2 for a paise. one day both of them were obliged to return home when each had 30 marbles unsold. they put together the 2 lots of marbles and handling them over to a friend asked her to sell them at 5 for 2 paise.now they were expecting to get 25 paise for the marbles as they would have got if sold separately but much to their surprise they go only 24 paise in total.where did the 1 paise go ? can anyone explain

We have a large very thin sheet of rice paper which pile at the rate of 1 thousand sheets to the inch.Supposing we tear the paper in half an put the two pieces together on top of each other and we tear them in half and put the 4 pieces together in a pile and then we tear them again in half and put the eight pieces in a pile and we continue like this upto 50 times, can u tell how high the final stack of paper would be?
